At Rathbone you can learn in a way that suits you. We’ll help you find a programme that’s just right for you and support you all the way through it.
Traineeships: Traineeships are aimed at young people aged 16–17, who have just left school and are unemployed and not in formal training or education. The course gives you the confidence, experience they need to get a job, including key skills in English, Maths and ICT. You can also study specialised units for your chosen career – choose from Customer Service, Health and Social Care – including Childcare, Retail – including Warehousing and Business Administration
. We work with you to develop an individual learning plan and provide you with one-to-one support throughout the course. The Traineeship can take up to 12 months to complete and you can progress at your own pace. A weekly allowance is available to help towards travel costs, which is also paid during holiday periods when the centre is closed. You also get the opportunity to take part in sport and leisure enrichment activities, community projects, residential stays, plus a guaranteed work placement with a local employer.
