Rathbone offers Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeships in Hospitality and Catering to new or existing staff. This equips them with the skills and knowledge to work efficiently, competently and safely in one of the largest industries in the country.

From recruitment to achievement, Rathbone handles all the training and administration.
We deliver the training to a plan agreed with you and provide regular updates on progress and achievement.
What’s in the Apprenticeship?
Most learning happens on the job learning from experienced work colleagues.
What’s required from an Apprentice:
Rathbone emphasises employment skills so Apprentices understand they need to be smart, well presented, punctual and to behave in a professional manner to get ahead.
How long does an Apprenticeship last?
People must be able to perform the job to national standards so it depends on how fast someone learns.
If someone left school with no other experience in hospitality and catering, they could achieve their Apprenticeship in around 15 months or an Advanced Apprenticeship in between 18 – 24 months.
What qualifications can be achieved?
- A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) proving they’re skilled.
- A Technical Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principles that shows they have the knowledge they need.
- Practical work skills in communications, using numbers and ICT.
Apprentices will also be provided with the employment skills to work in the sector and will understand employer rights and responsibilities.
