What’s in the Apprenticeship?
Most learning happens on the job. The Apprentice gains knowledge and skills required for their job role through completion of the NVQ and Technical Certificate, and the learner will be able to complete well-defined tasks and address straight forward problems, including taking responsibility for the completion of tasks, procedures and overall direction or guidance.
What’s required from an Apprentice?
The role of the Team Leader is varied and the qualification helps to develop practical, motivational and day-to-day management techniques.
How long does an Apprenticeship last?
The Team Leader must be able to perform the job to national standards so it depends on how fast they learn. The timescale is around 12-15 months.
What qualifications can be achieved?
- NVQ at level 2 in Team Leading
- VRQ certificate in Team Leading
- Key/Functional skills at Level 1 to include Maths, English and ICT
