Many employers tell us finding young employees who are work ready and who understand how the workplace operates is one of the biggest challenges they face. Rathbone has a pool of young people who are in training with us who need experience of the workplace. These young people are developing the skills that employers want, as well as the positive attitude to work that’s required.

Setting up a work placement with Rathbone comes at no cost to employers. Our experienced staff – many come from a business background – work closely with employers to develop a programme of work experience that’s beneficial to your business and the community around you.

Day Visits

If you’re a large employer, you may have a wide range of employment opportunities available. Many young people aren’t aware of the different roles available to them with one employer and a day visit can introduce them to a number of different job roles. A day visit can meet your recruitment needs if you have a large number of vacancies to fill or experience regular staff turnover.

Work placements

Many of our employer based training staff have joined Rathbone from business or a commercial environment so we understand how the world of work works. We know what an employer needs to know. We’re always open and honest about any needs or barriers our young people may have so you can decide if you’re able to accommodate them or not.

We’ll work closely with you to plan their learning experience and to help them progress. It’s an opportunity to develop a young person to your own standards and to benefit the community around you. Working with a wide range of employers from high street names to small family businesses means that Rathbone understand the different challenges businesses face in staff training

Our experience shows us that employers are often keen to appoint a fully trained young person from Rathbone when they have any relevant vacancies.
