Rising Stars: Unity Partnership Apprentices Interviews - Part 2

Following on from our previous story with Unity Partnership, we catch up with the Unity Partnership apprentices to find out first hand about their experience.

Why did you choose Rathbone Training?
I chose Rathbone Training because I had heard great things about their apprenticeships and experiences young people have had with them.

Why did you decide to do an apprenticeship?
I decided to do an apprenticeship as it’s a great way to learn and also gain work experience. Apprenticeships really help when introducing young people into the work environment, They also open lots of opportunities for young people and help them get on the career path they want.

How has the programme helped you and where are you now?
The programme has helped me in huge amounts, through taking an apprenticeship I have gained 2 qualifications, gained knowledge/skills, I have also gained lots of confidence.

Would you recommend Rathbone Training to other young people?
Yes, they are a great path for young people to take, through apprenticeships you gain a qualification(s) and gain work experience.

This is the company that I was put with when I applied for the apprenticeship.

Why did you decide to do an apprenticeship?
Good way to start your career off and good stepping stone to your future because of the experience you get.

How has the programme helped you and where are you now?

I have now completed and achieved level 1 and 2 in business administration which has helped me go further with interviews and other job opportunities. I now have a full time job with Unity which I enjoy.

Would you recommend Rathbone Training to other young people?
Definitely! Helpful tutors and easy to contact with any issues.

Why did you choose Rathbone Training as your apprenticeship partner?
We chose Rathbone as they gave us the option to deliver the apprenticeship all in-house. Rathbone’s reputation also played a major impact in our decision to use them as a training provider as they are well known in the northwest for learner achievement and progression

What benefits were you looking for when choosing to hire apprentices?
We feel offering young people apprenticeships gives our business the chance to play an active role in molding our future workforce and create the future skills that we require to help our businesses grow. By making the commitment to offer apprenticeships, we also build up strong employee loyalty; and by investing in our apprentices’ careers we increase the chances of up-skilling, and more importantly, maintaining highly skilled staff.

How has the partnership with Rathbone Training helped your business?
Rathbone training helped our business as they provided us with a training needs analysis and identified areas of the business where there apprenticeship frameworks/standards would fit perfectly in. This gave us an indication as to where we can further grow our apprenticeship division which we found really helpful.

Would you recommend Rathbone to other employers?
Yes I would recommend Rathbone Training to other employers as we were provided with a flexible, competent service which always ensured we were given updates on learner progress.
