Learners from the Rathbone Bury centre recently had the opportunity to work with Odd Arts on a project exploring the themes of Safety and Belonging within the context of community and relationships. The session brought together applied theatre and dance to help our learners reflect on their life experiences in a positive way, so that they can unpick their own community and relationships. Using techniques such as 'mirroring', the learners were able to process and understand their own lives in a safe space.
The learners involved found the experiences extremely rewarding, with one commenting that the session really 'brought me out of my shell’.
Captured on film
A film of the session was made to demonstrate the learning experienced by the young people, as well as to document their development. Watch the film to learn more about the amazing techniques Odd Arts use, and to get a glimpse of what our learners experienced!
