Our latest Raise it for Rathbone fundraising campaign led by Rathbone Training learners, staff and partners across the country kicked off with a day of activities on May 27th.

Since then we've raised over £1,000 to support activities like educational trips, visits to outdoor activity centres or providing food and resources for group activities for learners with Rathbone Training as well as supporting our National Youth Conference taking place 26-30th September.

You can see pictures from all of the fabulous events on our Facebook page.

Below are some of the great examples of the Raise it for Rathbone activities:

Rathbone's centre in Ashton-under-Lyne ran a couple of activities including a henna activity run by the Functional Skills tutor Rehana Saleem who kindly bought in the resources. A range of learners were involved in terms of designing and applying the patterns, which was great as it was the first attempt by many of our learners and colleagues.

There was also a raffle, with prizes of male or female hamper’s where the items were again kindly donated by colleagues, a music quiz and a cookie sale.

Rathbone Oldham collected a range of prizes for a raffle and there was also low flying pies as the centre's administrator Nathan Mumford and tutor Andrew Thornley bravely stepped into the firing line for a pie throwing challenge which saw them get a bit messy!

Learners in Derby enjoyed a range of tasty treats in a cake sale and also got creative by making their own crafts to raise over £80!

Learners in Dudley got quizzical but devising their own quiz books to sell. They also planned a raffle and a sweepstake for Euro 2016 to keep the money coming in!

Our team in Leicester went #CupcakeCrazy by selling cakes freshly prepared by learners in the catering facilities in the centre. The coffee and cake event in the café was a huge success and the array of tasty treats went down a storm!

Centre staff and colleagues in central support came together for a tombola and cake sale. There was also a guess the parents competition and a small change donations jar and in total the activities raised over £100.

Learners and staff in Rochdale held a 7.5k sponsored run around Hollingworth Lake which raised a fantastic £500. The learners have since enjoyed a brilliant trip to Blackpool funded by the Raise it for Rathbone activities!

In Walsall colleagues and learners completed a sponsored walk in fancy dress around the Walsall Arboretum.

Kilmarnock and Tayside

A range of activities including a Car Wash, Bake Sale, Coffee and Tea and Hot Filled Rolls helped to keep stomachs filled and bring in the fundraising donations. A fantastic quiz night and raffle held by Rathbone Tayside at Broughty Ferry Fort Hotel which involved partners including the NHS, Mcconechys and families and friends of learners raised an amazing £600.

There was a range of family fun laid on by learners and colleagues in Barry with activities including table tennis, face painting, name the bear and a cake sale!

Cwmbran and Newport

Colleagues and learners took part in a walk along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal from Pontnewydd, up to Pontypool Basin and back. This was a 6 mile walk, in lovely weather with stunning scenery.

Colleagues and learners in Swansea also put their walking boots on and donned fancy dress for an epic 10 mile walk to Knab Rock and back!

A massive thank you to everyone who took part in Raise it for Rathbone.. .your hard work really will make a difference to other young people's lives!
