Rathbone Training has given support to a special ceremony celebrating the success of trainees, apprentices and the businesses that employ them across Leicestershire.
Intraining’s Employment Related Services Director Jon Howland presented the ‘Small Business of the Year’ award at the Leicester Apprenticeship Hub Graduation Ceremony, hosted by Leicester City Council's Apprenticeship Hub, at De Montford Hall, on Thursday, June 16.
“I was delighted to present the award to the winner DJ's Groom Room & Sandra May's Hair Studio and to join colleagues and learners from Intraining and Rathbone Training for this wonderful showcase of the positive impact traineeships and apprenticeships have on young people’s lives and the local economy,” said Jon Howland.
Over 40 trainees and apprentices from Rathbone and fellow NCG division Intraining received their certificates from Councillor Sue Waddington, Deputy City Mayor (Skills & Jobs), and Lady Gretton, the Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire, at the ceremony which was hosted by BBC East Midlands presenters Dominic Heale and Geeta Pendse.
Rathbone Training’s catering learners also provided a sweet treat by baking 450 cupcakes for guests.
The event, now in its second year, was attended by 300 people including businesses which support apprentices along with graduates and their family and friends.
