The BBG Academy in Birkenshaw, West Yorkshire, has received a special award from Rathbone Training during National Apprenticeship Week for their commitment to training young people.

The high school was presented with a Rathbone Training National Apprenticeship Week Employer Award for the support and guidance they have given to Danielle Cronin, 21, a Business Admin apprentice and Daniel Watson, 19, an Apprentice in IT.

The academy works with Danielle and Daniel to ensure they have sufficient time during the week to complete any coursework whilst still meeting the needs of the school.

“I’m delighted that BBG Academy has won this award. It is a great reward for an excellent employer who cares and supports their apprentices and to make them realise that it is recognised and appreciated. It also sends out a good message to other employers about the value Apprentices can bring to the business,” said Dawn Sharples, a tutor for Rathbone Training who nominated the academy for the award.
