Leading training providers Rathbone Training and Intraining are gearing up to present an award to a top apprentice at a glittering event celebrating the successes of apprentices across Leicestershire.

The Intermediate Apprentice Award at the Leicester Apprenticeship Hub Graduation and Awards ceremony 2017 is sponsored by Rathbone Training and Intraining will be presented by Phil McGeachy, Regional Operations Manager for Rathbone Training.

The event, organised by Leicester City Council, is now in its third year and open to any apprentice that has completed their apprenticeship with a Leicester and Leicestershire based training provider between 1 April 2016 and 31 March 2017.

“Both Rathbone Training and Intraining have shown their support for the awards last year and again this year and it has been fantastic to see it go from strength to strength,” said Phil McGeachy.

“Apprenticeships remain a vital part of the government’s skills and training strategy and we are delighted to support these awards and do all we can to promote the fantastic opportunities being an apprentice can open up for people across the country.”

The awards come at an exciting time for Rathbone Training in Leicester, who will be opening a brand new centre in the city in the coming months offering 16 to 24 year olds training and support to gain employment or further their education and for Intraining as they launch a new suite of high quality IT apprenticeships across Leicestershire and the rest of the UK.

This year’s awards event will be held at the Athena theatre, in Leicester, on Friday, 23rd June.
