Rathbone Training joined the cream of Leicestershire’s apprentice crop at a prestigious awards ceremony to mark their success on Friday, June 23rd.

Phil McGeachy, Regional Operations Manager for Rathbone Training presented the Intermediate Apprentice Award to Pete Von Anrep, from DJ’s Groom Room & Sandra May’s Hair Studio Limited.

“It was a real privilege to represent Rathbone Training and Intraining and present Pete with this award. He is a fantastic example of an apprentice committed to developing in their role and an employer that believes in the positive impact of apprenticeships,” said Phil.

The event was also an opportunity for Rathbone Training to officially announce the launch of its new centre in the city at the end of July offering 16 to 24 year olds training and support to gain employment or further their education.

“This is an exciting time for Rathbone Training in Leicester and I was delighted to make the announcement about our new centre at such a prestigious event which is a clear example of the commitment and investment to apprentices for young people in Leicestershire,” added Phil.

The event, organised by Leicester City Council, was held at the Athena Theatre in Leicester and hosted by BBC East Midlands Today presenter Geeta Pendse.

The event aims to acknowledge the achievements of apprentices that have completed their apprenticeship with a Leicester and Leicestershire based training provider between 1 April 2016 and 31 March 2017.
