Get backing Black
Meet Michele – the fundraiser who is about to persuade you to part with your cash and help transform young lives.
The former administrator is Rathbone’s new Fundraising and Development Officer. And as the daughter of one of Leeds’ leading businessmen, you won’t be surprised to hear that she’s already been using her contacts to bag plenty of swag for Rathbone.

Michele recently turned Rathbone staff and students into an army of grocery packers at the Marks & Spencer store at the Trafford Centre. Their work at the check-out helped us cash-in to the tune of over £1000.
Aside from finding new revenue streams, Michele will be working with large companies such as Vodafone and Virgin who have already flown to Rathbone’s aid – by backing pivotal schemes and programmes.
And for anyone thinking of running-away from Michele, the latest news is that she is looking for volunteers to tackle the New York Marathons. “I’ve managed to coax eight runners into pounding the streets during the London Marathon – New York is next on my list” said Michele.
Describing her new position as her, “dream job” Michele motivation is enabling a group of young people who she describes as, “amazing” to progress.
“The capacity of our young people to overcome everything from learning difficulties to bullying is inspiring” continued Michele, “but they do need the help of adults. That could be in the form of donations but also through mentoring and even work experience opportunities.”
