At Rathbone in Wolverhampton, we help young people to learn in a way that suits them. We’re close to the city centre, within walking distance of bus and tram stations.
If you’re a young person who’d like support with your next step, we offer several programmes in Wolverhampton, and we can advise you on what’s right for you:
Foundation Learning – for people aged 16 - 18
If you’re not in education or training, enrolling on our Foundation Learning programme can help you find your next step – whether that’s college, employment or an apprenticeship.
You’ll learn about:
- Personal and social development
- Employability
- Work placement
- Functional skills qualifications in Maths, English and ICT
You could also take vocational qualifications – building the skills that can help you to get a job or move on to college or an apprenticeship. There are opportunities to volunteer, or get involved in sports, arts or drama. These can help you to build up your CV, meet new people and gain confidence.
In Wolverhampton we offer training for qualifications in:
Apprenticeships – for people aged 16 - 24
Doing an apprenticeship means you can earn as you learn.
Depending on what level you’re at apprenticeships usually last between 12 and 24 months. You'll work towards a vocational qualification and also get key skills certificates in application of number, communication and ICT.
