We're proud to announce that we've teamed up with the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS) to make it as easy as possible for employers to give young deaf people the same opportunities as everyone else.
This National Apprenticeships Week, we held a free event in Birmingham, for employers thinking about taking on a deaf apprentice. Many employers are unaware that there is funding available through Access To Work to enable employers to make adjustments in the workplace to support disabled employees.
Our founder Elfrida Rathbone believed that "Every child can learn" and we are committed to making that a reality for young people in Britain today. This National Apprenticeships Week our message is that we are here to support employers when it comes to hiring deaf apprentices. With modern technology and funding available from government there's really no need for employers to miss out on the talent young deaf people have to offer.
