Building Our Learners' Voices at NYC 2017

We believe listening to our learners is vitally important

It informs everything we do. After all, they are the reason we are here.

In November 2017, sixty of our learners travelled down to Birmingham to take part in our annual National Youth Conference, a week long residential trip designed to strengthen their sense of autonomy and voice their thoughts on topics that matter to them. The learner chosen themes of the conference this year were Radicalisation and Social Action, and through various learning sessions, music and drama workshops and street art groups our learners unpicked these challenging topics by examining their  views in a safe and non-judgemental environment.

We are pleased to finally release the full length film documenting their experience, so please view the film to find out what we are doing to transform the lives of young people through learning.
